Ok, so I talk a lot about Herbalife. It might seem as if I only drink the shake, the tea, the aloe vera water and eat their bars.
As a matter of fact, Herbalifelovers are also reall food addicts. I now enjoy awesome cooking more than ever, since I know that I can indulge much more, without it leading to weight gain.
My dad is having a dinner party on the 10th of june. Since he can only fry eggs, he asked me if I wanted to make some kind of nice menu with stuff everybody would like.
Well his friends are hamburger and fries-kind of people, so I will challenge their taste buds you wouldn't believe! With stuff mostly disliked by 'normal' people who aren't interested in culinary adventures.
As a starter I will make cute little tartelets of tomatoe, hazelnut pesto and...brussel sprouts. At this moment half of you are going 'what?! Noo, brussel sprouts, I hate those!'. Well the trick is that the tomatoe and hazelnut flavours trick you, so you barely notice you are eating brussel sprouts. Ha!
As main course I will make a salad of endive (the Dutch call it witlof), raisins, apples and perhaps pineapple, and lots of curry powder. I will serve it with a schnitzel and potatoe croquets.
The dessert will be either a Dutch custard trifle, or something healthier with sweetened yoghurt...I might stir down some Herbalife vanilla powder instead of sugar. Then they'll get lots of vitamins without even knowing it.
Can you see the Dutch theme through the evening? Pretty cool huh? I swear, I'm a reincarnated 50's housewife, I loooove dinner parties!
Next: table decorations and Dutch inspired board games!

Gothenburg!
I'm expanding my business to a second city: Gothenburg!
I have been there for several of days, and things are looking good!
YAY!!!
I will tell you more ASAP!
Oh, I'm climbing the career ladder with Herbalife, as of tomorrow I'm at the second step, which gives me all kinds of benefits. Instead of a 25 percent margin, I get 35 percent! How awesome is this?! I'd say: VERY!

STS in Malmö!
Oh my sweeties, life is very very very good right now.
I've listened to a bunch of succesful, ambitious people yesterday. They took matters in own hands, and are now happier than ever. I admire people who don't whine, but take action!
I mean, seriously, I'm a bad-ass journalist. You can't sell me crap. I hate that. But I was truly impressed by the stories yesterday, at the succes training seminar by Herbalife in Malmö. I mean, just because I endorse Herbalife to my clients, it doesn't mean I'm Herbalife's slave.
But credit should be given where credit is due, and yesterday was a biiig inspiration for all lazy bastards out there who want to become thinner, healthier, more succesful, but don't know how.
The key is what you WANT TO DO IN LIFE. Nobody can determine for you what is right or wrong, or clever or stupid. You can only go one way, and that is your way.

Whoop whoop! Pharmacies suck, Herbalife rules!
"I have been using medicine for my colon for the past thirty years. Nothing has worked. After two days of using Herbalife, I feel good again. I haven't felt this good in a long time!"
Yes, people. This is true. This is what one of my dear clients told me today!
Yes, people. This is true. This is what one of my dear clients told me today!
Feedback from my clients

After one and a half week with just replacing his breakfast with the shake, my father has lost four kilo. If he'd drink more water, and NOT eat so much cinammon buns, it would go quicker. But hey, who am I to judge? I want to be a coach, not a police officer.
Another client said that she feels 'more awake' now. Yes, when we change our unhealthy habits into good ones, it is as if our bodies give us the signals we need the most, first. She started two days ago, so I will call her tonight, and see if her body is already loosing its fluids it has been holding on to.
When you change the way you eat and start using Herbalife, your body realizes it is safe to get rid of all the water it has been holding on to as an emergency stock. We are a lot like camels in that way.
I remember how liberated I felt in my first Herbalife week. I felt lighter. My mood got lighter too, actually. I honestly believe we get fat due to unsolved emotional luggage. And negativity is also stored in our cells. When the fat and the water is released, emotional luggage goes with it.

New clients!
So I have two brand new clients, with brand new ambitions and brand new hope!
They had both tried Herbalife twenty years ago, but were completely abandoned by their distributors, so they gained the lost weight quickly again.
I managed to gain their trust, thank goodness, so they are bracing themselves for a new life!
I will call them Ellen and Anna to protect their privacy.
Ellen is a hard working woman, with a very, very demanding job. Since this is a small town I can't even tell you her occupation, then the locals who read this would immediately know who she is. Anyway, like many others, she has been on diets all her adult life. She is 60 now, and is obese. She can barely walk and I can tell that she feels dissapointed with herself. She has managed to handle things that are more difficult than most could imagine, but her weight is an ongoing battle. She really blames herself for this.
Anna is 61, and only needs to lose 5 kilo to reach her ideal BMI weight. She falls for temptation and persuasion easily, and when she stands on her scale, she feels anger, sadness and she keeps thinking 'why the hell can't I manage to lose these extra kilos? Why not?!'
In other words: her friday morning is never a happy one. She dreads that day and that morning. She says she feels great agony after she has seen her weight, that seems to slap her in the face.
I ordered her to put away the scale, since this kind of unhappiness will NOT give her a great, relaxing weekend she needs.
How come we can feel more understanding and compassionate towards our friends than towards ourselves?
I will tell you about Ellen and Anna's journey on this blog, and I know there will only be bright moments. Some moments will be hard, but never again sad and frustrating. They will do just fine, they just don't know it yet.

So many ways to Rome!
Do you know what I stopped doing a long time ago?
Putting all my money on one horse. Or more clearly put: earn money from just one place.
At this moment I am making ten colourful boxes as a branding/marketing statement for my wellness coaching.
The first one is almost finished, I will show you later. On the front I'll write a text such as "get into shape for this summer" or "Change your life, change your breakfast" or something like that.
On the side I'll make a sleeve with little cards where people can fill out their contact information and put into the box. Cute, I know!
I want to have ten of such boxes, spread in this region. And another ten in Malmö, and another ten in Gothenburg.
Why? Because this method has been proven to attract curious potential customers, and it is in fact a passive income.
So what are you going to do this evening?

How to enjoy mama's good food without gaining weight!
Life is about choices.
If you want to have the cake and eat it, that is possible, but you WILL suffer the consequences.
I know, I know, life has so much yummy things to offer. Especially now when I'm temporarily living with my parents again, and get to enjoy my mom's lovely greasy, fattening, amazing cooking, I notice that breakfast, lunch AND dinner will take their toll. Quickly.
So starting from day one -two days ago- I deliberately CHOOSE to only drink the Herbalife shake as breakfast and lunch.
My breakfast looks like this:
2 cups of coffee while I enjoy the view of the harbor on the balcony. When I'm done talking to the pigeons and seagulls, I go inside, and I make my morning shake.
I take two generous table spoons of the shake, vanilla flavoured is my favorite, and mix it with milk. I go back to the balcony and I sip it slowly while I plan my day.
During the day I drink green tea or Chai, then around two pm I take the shake again.
That way I get to scoop up an extra piece of meat and enjoy that real gravy, without feeling guilty for one second. After all, I know that tomorrow, I will replace two meals with the shake again.
Life's good.
So remember: Make choices!! Don't fool yourself by just drinking the shake every now and then and think that you will lose weight.
to lose weight takes real DETERMINATION! And STUBBORNESS! Succes doesn't come easy you know.
My dad who is my newest customer, thinks that he can continue his fattening eating habits and lose weight if he just drinks a glass of the Herbalife shake a day.
Well I helped him out of that dream!
And now I can break that illusion for you too: please don't waste your own time with continue eating normally with just a little of the Herbalife shake every now and then.
I'd rather have you save that money and just continue your unhealthy habits. It won't change anything, besides your waist size in time.

Migration!
Dear friends, tonight I fly back home to Sweden.
I've experienced wonderful adventures here in the Netherlands for ten years now.
And now it is time to end this chapter, and start a new one. In Ystad, Sweden!
See you at the other side of the north sea!

Think out of the box!
The great thing about our society today is that there's an endless amount of information available for us. ABout just anything.
That means, that whatever your goals are in life, there are plenty of sources for information! Whatever you want to do, you just pick from this big buffet and make your own choices based on the facts you find.
But the information load is basically more one of quantity than quality. There is a wide range of information, but no longer sources that dig deeply to get to the core of something.
That's why I don't want this to become a blog of low-fat recipes and peptalks for you to excercize. No, I care more about the first, real steps: your thoughts. Your wishes. And what your self-talk is saying to help you or sabotage you.
Check this video, an author talks about his book "What If", that helps understand why we do the things we do, why we break promises to ourselves...In short, a good video for most of us:

I don't know about you, but I want this book!!
My headline says "think out of the box!" because my point is that to reach your goals, you have to change what you are doing now, to get different results from what you're getting now.
That means changing something in your life in a way the 'old' you would never have dared or wanted to.
My latest interesting read was Ask and it is given, by Jerry and Esther Hicks. Normally I wouldn't read books that claim to be channeled messages from dead people, but I thought, what the heck: let's think out of the box. My thought patterns were damaging my self-image, and I had had it with all my destructive self-talk!

Guess what: since I've read it, weird things are starting to happen. I'm feeling more compassionate towards myself than ever. I felt this urge to start this blog about my holistic view on health. And I didn't feel the normal fears about this new adventure.
The book talks about how your emotions vibrate signals into the universe. And now I've monitored all my fears, I've been able to silence them.
It feels great to live life with less and less fears. When I started reading that book, I had no idea that the results would be this mind-blowing. I just wanted to think out of the box.
So what new path are you going to try out today?

Keep your goal in sight!

Living counsciously adds new dimensions to your life. It is amazing. But sometimes shallow, unhealthy choices are soooo yummy and easy, and sweet that you just can't help but to lose yourself for a moment.
The great danger with allowing yourself to eat whatever you want for a weekend, is that you never get back on track again with your wishes to become a more healthy person. A weekend becomes a week, becomes a month...Before you know it you gained the weight you lost, and more kilos on top of that.
Never, never, lose track of your goal. Keep a note of your health goal in your wallet, put a post-it on your bathroom mirror, in a drawer in your desk, even as a screensaver on your laptop! Trust me, constantly seeing your goal triggers the right connections in your brain! Which trigger you to take action towards your goal! That's why law of attraction/self fulfilling prophecies always work!
We're human. We sin. We indulge. We are not perfect, thank goodness. But always get back on that track if you fall off. It is never too late to change. You are not hopeless. It is not your destiny to be fat. It is your destiny to seek your own bliss. And a part of that bliss is to reach your physical goals!

Be compassionate to yourself!
One of the women I admire the most in the entire world is her: www.blondinbella.se
She started blogging when she was 14, started her first company when she was 16, now she has a fashion collection, published book, a brand new magazine, a web shop and a private investors company. And she is 20 years old.
Who said beauty and brains can't come together?
Just now she blogged "I will take a break from everything this weekend. Shut my cell phone off, don't check my e-mail, nothing".
And I figured that's something we all should do from time to time. To dare be unreachable for a while.
Do you remember in the good old days, when yo went on vacation, and nobody could reach you for three weeks?
Wasn't that wonderful in many ways? I love my laptop and smartphone but...I'm never offline. I'm never on a real break.
And nowadays if you don't respond to an e-mail within the hour, you get text messages and phone calls from that person, that is a bit insulted you didn't take time for them at that red hot minute.
Being online constantly leads to stress. And I think we are not aware of half of it. It is such a part of our daily lives, that we have forgotten what it was like to be completely disconnected and free from the rest of the world.
But I vaguely remember hot summer days as a child. I ran barefoot through the woods of the north of Sweden, without a care in the world.
When the sun got lower, and I got hungry, I ran home to eat. Nobody worried if I was a bit late. Parenting in the north of Sweden 15 years ago was a non-stop holiday compared to what I see here in the Netherlands now. Yikes.
A part of becoming more healthy is to learn to let go of the world. Shut the phone off. Leave the world be for a while.
Let go of the constant flow of news.
And just breathe in. And breathe out.

Weddings when you want to lose weight
What a blissful day for William and Kate! I wish them all the best for today and forever.
For their guests who have decided to lose weight, however, things will be tricky.
For after all, when the crown prince of Britain serves you cake, you don't want to turn it down.
When royalty gives you basically anything to eat, you don't want to say no.
So here's what I do when the pressure is high and I 'must' eat what is served:
* I don't finish the entire portion if it is sweet
* I finish the soup and the veggies, I leave the rest, unless it is chicken filet or fish
* If there's fresh water on the table, I help myself as much as possible
* If alcohol is served, I indulge in a couple of glasses of red wine, the full feeling in my belly helps me say no to fried snacks and other unhealthy hour d' heuvres.
The next day I only drink grean tea and water, lots of it.
The next day I replace breakfast and lunch with my Formula 1 Shake.
I've noticed that the usual feelings of remorse and guilt during a party fade away if I promise myself to stick to these tricks during the day, and to adjust my eating pattern the next day. And since I feel so damn good and proud, that releases happy-hormones to my brain, which according to some studies, help your body burn fat as well!

Thermojetics and Sweden!

Drinking a biiiig mug of Thermojetics and pondering about my first week in Sweden.
At www.succes-team.nl I downloaded an action plan, and I must say, I think I have managed to make a realistic schedule for my new healthy life as a Herbalife distributor!
If you are thinking about creating your own business and always had an interest in health, don't hesitate to contact me!
My personal schedule is a mix of spreading flyers all over the place. In shops, at hair dressers, etc, and doing a BMI check at grocery stores etc. I will also knock on doors, if I can get a permit that allows me to do so.
Furhtermore I have this health blog for new and old customers, AND I will be using social media to target new customers.
This business really is a lot of fun! You can go in all kinds of directions, whatever suits you!
Okay, I'm off to my co-sponsor, she's doing a heck of a job guiding me into this business.
Her name is Gonny and she's awesome!
Here's her website: http://www.adviesvraag.nl/wij.htm

I sinned!
I just ate a donut. Why? Because it was there.
If there was a magical potion or spell to ban out temptation, I'd buy it to the price of my soul.
But there isn't.
How to handle sweet temptations?
I give myself permission to be weak a couple of times per week. I live by the yin-yang philosophy where I strive for balance.
A diet of only Herbalife and water would make me very unhappy, even though my body would prefer to only receive pure vitamins and minerals.
So every time I sin, I make a promise to myself: to drink more green tea or Herbalife thermojetics, and a couple of glasses water extra that day. Furthermore I might change my dinner plans as well.
Yesterday a friend of mine had something to celebrate, and he treated me on fried cheese sticks and chicken nuggets. This was a t four pm in the afternoon.
Well, I indulged in those fried lovely things, but replaced dinner with my Herbalife Vanilla shake and lots of water yesterday evening.
Today, I woke up feeling great. Physically and mentally. Because it gives me such pride to know that I don't HAVE to eat so much all of the time.
So just now I had a donut, but then I'll replace my lunch with the shake. My breakfast was a big mug of the Herbalife Thermojetics. If you look at the complete picture of what I have allowed into my body the past 24 hours, overall, it's okay. Of course it's not ideal, but it's okay.
Promise me that you will be kind to yourself if you decide to go on a diet. The more you beat yourself up when you sin, the more you will need comfort food, the more weight you will gain because you feel guilty that you once more lied to yourself and broke the promise to yourself to lose weight.

Your new healthy lifestyle!
So you had the guts to change. Kudo's!
You're here because I told you to visit my blog, and you want to visit my blog because you want to become healthier and finally reach that weight you have been aiming for, for years.
To change your weight, means you need to change your habits. You need to change the things you put into your shopping basket in the supermarket.
You need to change the way you look at food. You need to change the way you FEEL about food.
That's where it all starts. Those dang thoughts of yours, that call you names, that say mean things about your appearance. And then you feel sad and guilty. Then your barriers of good intentions break down, and you find excuses to continue your bad, unhealthy habits. I know all about those, believe me!
My first steps toward a healthy lifestyle began with some new thoughts.
"Do I really HAVE to eat three big meals a day, with a large dinner, leaving me feeling bloated every single day?"
"Why am I so afraid of feeling hungry? Do I have to have a constant feeling of being full?"
"Why do I need to buy unhealthy snacks every single day? Do they help me in any way, really?"
"What if I at least once a week, replaced unhealthy choices, with healthy ones? Or at least less unhealthy ones?"
These questions gave me the courage to bit by bit, STOP tormenting my body with large meals every day and unhealthy snacks.
The first step to a healthy lifestyle is therefore: PORTION CONTROL.
You WILL NOT die if you made your portions a bit smaller at each meal.
You WILL NOT die if you replace snacks with something healthy. Start small. Be compassionate to yourself. You don't have to build Rome in a day.
